Damping oil (A)
The Strain-gauge together with the pre-load make up a system which might swing up and down if the tester is subject to external vibrations. In order to reduce this effect, an oil drop in a very thin gap between the Strain-gauge stroke limiting screw and the Strain-gauge support, shall act as a “damper” for the Strain-gauge.
